Well, we made it to DC last night and are now sitting at Dulles airport anxiously awaiting our flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We are flying Ethiopian airlines which has a direct flight - about 13 hours. Yes - in 13 hours we set foot on African soil!! We are both very excited about all the adventures this next week will hold.
While we do not know all of the details of our itinerary quite yet, there are three events that we know will happen for sure. (1) Sunday we are travelling out of the city and taking a daytrip to meet up with Joseph's birthmother. (We are very excited to have this opportunity as Jack was not able to meet her since we wasn't with me on our last trip.) (2) Monday we will meet our son!!! (3) Tuesday is our court date.
Please join us in prayer specifically for these three events. Pray that God would make his presence known to us during these times. We hope to update our blog while there, but internet is not always reliable so we will see.
