Orphanage shower

This past weekend some of my closest friends in Columbia threw me an Orphanage Shower. This was a little different from your typical shower in that everyone brought gifts that Jack and I will be able to take to Ethiopia to donate to the orphanage. It was a truly wonderful afternoon full of delicious food, great fellowship, and amazing generosity. At the end of the shower, we piled all of the donations on the couch and it was awesome to see the amount of items that had been donated. I feel so blessed to have friends that care as much as I do about caring for orphans. I can't wait to share these pictures from the shower with our son one day and tell him about all of the things we were able to take his friends at the orphanage. Thanks to all of my friends for their generosity and for making the day special!

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction . . . James 1:27

  3. I really enjoy reading your blog. I'm getting so excited for you! Oh and by the way, the dress you're wearing holding the "it's a boy" balloon is so stinking cute!
